The Look of Lunch

As mentioned during Friday's "lexicon vs. vernacular" debate, here's the video for ABC's "The Look of Love" (off the album The Lexicon of Love). I think the horn at the beginning was also used in those Ricola ads in the 90s. Lunch today?

So, Dictionary.com says
Lexicon: the vocabulary of a particular language, field, social class, person, etc.

whereas

Vernacular (the noun because who cares about the adjective):
9. the native speech or language of a place.
10. the language or vocabulary peculiar to a class or profession.
11. a vernacular word or expression.
12. the plain variety of language in everyday use by ordinary people.
13. the common name of an animal or plant as distinguished from its Latin scientific name.
14. a style of architecture exemplifying the commonest techniques, decorative features, and materials of a particular historical period, region, or group of people.
15. any medium or mode of expression that reflects popular taste or indigenous styles.

Oh yeah, Lexicon can be used as a synonym for a dictionary. So, they are close.

If I saw this on television, I would not change the channel.
